Desperation Run

Bendonians understand that Lava and Dillon run during the winter, along with Riverhouse.  Most of us don't even consider running Meadowcamp because it is pretty dang low.  In general we run it in the summer at 1900 cfs but in the winter it doesnt have more that 600 cfs flowing through it.  Today we decided to be really stubborn and were really desperate to get on something locally that wasn't Riverhouse....this meant a low water Lava down to Meadowcamp.  The gauge read 850 cfs at Lava but with the diversion pump on at Meadowcamp, 300 cfs were pulled dropping the flow down to 550!  Check out the pics...it was super fun and had a creeking feel to it....
Starting off our day with Lava Island-

Like I said, Meadow is LOW right now and we noticed it most on the last drop, 100%.   If you check out the photo below, look at where the people are standing...there is water usually flowing over the edge of those rocks!  All the rocks next to Josh as well are completely under water.  Very fun but sieved out everywhere.
Stay tuned for more posts of our adventures on Lake Creek, Clover, etc.....
Happy Paddling,
Christina
